About the Staff Appreciation Award
About the Awards
DPS staff members provide excellent customer service in a variety of ways. The Office of Public Affairs and Human Resource Services of Durham Public Schools work together to recognize employees with quarterly Staff Appreciation Awards. The Staff Appreciation Awards recognize employees who have made significant contributions to the mission, vision and goals of Durham Public Schools.
The program values employees for some of the same character traits that have been adopted for students, including perseverance, respect and responsibility.
School-based and Central Services staff members will be recognized for outstanding customer service each quarter. Four school-based members (two elementary, one middle, one secondary) and one Central Services staff member will be recognized at the end of each quarter.
