HUD Homebuyer Education Class-No Cost

Description: Join us for our free HUD approved homebuyer education class at Durham Regional Financial Center at 315 E Chapel Hill Street, Durham NC; downtown, near the main post office, in the building with large white columns (2nd floor conference room). Class will be held from 9am to 4pm on Saturday, November 20. Lunch will be provided.
Individual credit counseling and pre-purchase homeownership counseling sessions are available to assist buyers in qualifying for mortgage financing.
First time homebuyers can qualify for up to $20,000 in down payment assistance and a 3:1, 4:1 or 5:1 savings match through the Individual Development Account program.
Classes are HUD approved and meet requirements for the City of Durham, NC Housing Finance Agency and local financial institutions.
Buyers can select from an inventory of new or rehab houses.
