Sandy Ridge will feature numerous arts-related learning activities to enhance the educational experience:
- Multiple theater performances annually
- Multiple choral music performances annually
- Multiple art gallery walks annually
- Regularly scheduled visiting professionals and artists
- Regularly scheduled art-focused field trips
- Extra-curricular activities – clubs, field trips, summer camp opportunities
- Additional art, choral music, theater and dance teachers
- Two daily enrichment classes allowing students to receive both foundational skill instruction, as well as integrated enrichment that brings the arts into the content areas
- Regularly scheduled art-focused field trips
Teaching
While Sandy Ridge will be known for its active and dynamic arts program, it is important to note that the core subjects of Math, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts will be studied and measured with high expectations. By integrating the arts into every other curricular area students can experience a greater depth of understanding of the subject matter.
