Philosophy
Teachers at Eno Valley Elementary strive to meet the academic, emotional, physical, and artistic needs of each learner. Teachers also implement a balanced literacy program which addresses reading, listening and speaking skills.
Teaching
Students may also benefit from a variety of individual and small group experiences including resource learning, targeted computer-based instruction, and flexible grouping. Tutoring is provided by the community, certified teachers and volunteers.
Services for Academically Gifted Students
Academically Intellectually Gifted (AIG) students at Eno Valley receive services in a number of ways. Students in kindergarten and first grade have Primary Educational Thinking Skills Lessons (PETS) provided by AIG teachers. Nurture groups led by AIG teachers are provided for students who show potential for future AIG identification. Identified students for AIG reading and math receive differentiated instruction from the certified AIG teachers.

From I-40:
Coming into Durham on I-40, take Hwy. 147 (Durham Expressway), then take the Duke Street exit. Continue north on Duke Street through downtown Durham and past Durham Regional Hospital until it merges with Roxboro Road. Continue north on Roxboro Road until you reach Milton Road. Turn left on Milton Road and Eno Valley Elementary is on the left.
From I-85:
Coming into Durham on I-85, take the Duke Street exit heading north. Continue north on Duke Street through downtown Durham and past Durham Regional Hospital until it merges with Roxboro Road. Continue north on Roxboro Road until you reach Milton Road on the left. Turn left onto Milton Road and Eno Valley Elementary is on the left.
