The Superintendent's Art Reception at the Staff Development Center honors the students whose art is being exhibited during the 2011-12 school year at the Staff Development Center and Morris St. The reception is Wednesday, November 2 from 5:30-6:30 pm. Dr. Becoats will award the certificates to the students at 6:00 pm. Riverside Strings students will perform from 5:30-5:55 pm.

SUPERINTENDENT'S ART RECEPTIONS
Each spring each art teacher submits four pieces of art to represent their program and school to the Superintendent’s Educational Building Art Display. This artwork is displayed during the 2011-12 school year at the Fuller Building, Morris St. Community Education Building, and the Staff Development Center (SDC). This fall there are two Superintendent's Art Receptions to honor these students who have artwork exhibited this school year.
- Fuller Building – Wednesday, October 19 – 5:30-6:30 pm - Dr. Becoats will award the certificates to the students at 6:00. Prior to the certificates, enjoy light refreshments and the artwork on all three floors.
- Staff Development Center – Wednesday, November 2 – 5:30-6:30 pm - Dr. Becoats will award the certificates to the students at 6:00. Prior to the certificates, enjoy light refreshments, a beautiful performance by the String students from Riverside under the direction of Riverside Strings teacher Ms. Sara Moore, and artwork throughout the building. This reception includes on easels the artwork displayed at the Morris St. Community Education Building.
