DPAC Hosts “An Evening of Entertainment” Event on February 15
The Durham Public Schools Scholarship Foundation (DPSSF) and Durham Public Schools (DPS) are pleased to announce that the 2012 annual “An Evening of Entertainment” will be held at the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) on Wednesday, February 15. Hundreds of talented students from schools across the DPS district will be featured in “An Evening of Entertainment,” a fundraiser for the DPS Scholarship Foundation. There will be one spectacular performance at 7 PM.
The performance features auditioned choral students from Durham Public Schools performing a wide genre of music. The show includes both choral and choreographed numbers. This is the 33rd year of this event.
The organizers welcome guest vocal clinician Trey Jacobs from Texas and choreographer Michael Weaver from Chicago who will help prepare students for the fundraiser. This event is designed to showcase the talent that can be found in Durham Public Schools and provide scholarships to DPS seniors.
