How safe are our schools?
Durham Public Schools has a very solid safety rating, both in terms of the actual incidences of violence and in the perception that parents and students have about the safety of individual schools. The district’s strict code of student conduct policy (Policy Number 4301), law enforcement partnerships and security measures all are resulting in improved school environments.
