Safety and Security in DPS
The entire community has committed resources to keep our schools safe. In 1999, DPS established a formal partnership with other local agencies, including the Durham Police Department, Durham County Sheriff’s Office, Durham County Emergency Management, Durham City Fire Department, and Durham County Health Department, American Red Cross- Durham Chapter, Emergency Medical Services, and the Durham Center to strengthen school safety.
