VITA Free Tax Prep Site Opens at Staff Development Center
DPS staff members whose families earned less than $49,000 in 2009 are encouraged to get their taxes filed for free at the VITA site at the DPS Staff Development Center. The site is offering free tax preparation services from now until April 15. If your family earned less than $49,000 this year, take advantage of the FREE tax preparation services at a VITA site in the community. IRS-certified volunteers will prepare and e-file your tax return for free. You can receive your refund within 10 days.
The VITA site at the DPS Staff Development Center, 2107 Hillandale Road, is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. You can walk in without an appointment at this site or go online to make an appointment.
DO NOT pay interest for a “rapid refund” loan! (Those rapid refunds can cost more than 100% in interest rate fees!)
