Team First Award
Tuesday, April 19 marked the first recognition night for DPS employees by our own Durham Bulls. Billed as the Team First Award, the Bulls are honoring 12 DPS employees prior to each Tuesday home game this season. Employees are selected by their principals and supervisors based upon the following criteria:
- Perform beyond the scope of normal duties;
- Contribute a significant amount of time/effort toward a project;
- Assist other staff or departments with projects; and
- Demonstrate leadership on a special assignment.
In addition to being honored on the field, each employee will get four tickets to the game courtesy of the Bulls.
“The Bulls continue to be a tremendous partner,” said Dr. Eric Becoats, Superintendent. “The new Team First Award has energized our school district and staff members are excited to bring their families to the ballpark.”
The Durham Bulls are equally excited to team up with our devoted DPS staff.
“The Bulls are proud to be partnering with the school system,” said Matt DeMargel, Durham Bulls Director of Media Relations. “The importance of their work and the level of dedication required often goes unnoticed. We want them to know how much we appreciate their efforts.”
The next Tuesday home game takes place on May 10. We look forward to honoring 12 more DPS team players.
Come out to the Durham Athletic Park and cheer on your Bulls and your colleagues.
