Paul LeSieur wins Lou Thompson Distinguished Service Award

Congratulations are in order for our own Paul LeSieur. He recently won the prestigious Lou Thompson Distinguished Service Award. This honor is presented annually to the North Carolina Association of School Business Officials (NCASBO) member who has made substantial contributions to improve the organization and the school business official profession.
Paul came on board with DPS in October after 23 years with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, where he had the good fortune to work with Ms. Thompson.
“I thought I was just doing my job,” said LeSieur. “It is truly an honor to be seen by my peers as one who adds value to our profession.”
Paul has been a member of NCASBO for 25 years and now serves DPS as Executive Director of Budget and Management Services.
Way to go, Paul!
