Kenan Fellows Nominations

The Kenan Fellows Program is an innovative model to promote teacher leadership, address teacher retention and advance K-12 science, technology and mathematics education. Kenan Fellows are public school teachers from diverse disciplines, selected through a competitive process to participate in a prestigious two-year fellowship—all while remaining active in the classroom.

Nominees must

  • Have demonstrated leadership in their school, district or nationally
  • Have at least three years of teaching experience
  • Be willing to commit two summers and time during the school year to the program

Teachers may be nominated by going to the Kenan Fellows Web site (www.KenanFellows.org) beginning on December 15.  The online applications will be open from December 15, 2009-January 29, 2010.  Interviews will be held February 2010-March 2010 and Fellowships will be announced in April 2010.
