Elementary Magnet and Middle/High School Fairs Offer Opportunities to Parents
A number of DPS staff members will be on hand on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15 as DPS hosts the Elementary Magnet and Middle and High School Fairs at Hillside High School. This is the first year that secondary magnet schools have been separated from the elementary schools and the first time that middle schools have been invited to participate.
The Middle and High School Fair replaces the Ready, Set, Go to High School event that was held last year at Rogers-Herr. The event was simply too large for the site so in moving it to Hillside, organizers decided this was a great time to include middle schools since this transition is so important to families.

SHOWCASE OF SCHOOLS
Each school will hold at least two open houses, magnet schools often hold more, during the mid-November until mid-December time period. The complete schedule of open houses will be online in mid-October and also will be available at the Fairs in November.
It is important for parents to know that magnet applications will be online on Monday, January 4. Application deadline is Friday, January 29.
