DPS Teachers and Facilitators Write Local Curriculum!!!
Teachers and instructional facilitators from across our district spent a recent weekend, yes – the weekend, learning how to write “trans-disciplinary” local curriculum. Participants learned about many important evidenced-based concepts, resources, and strategies (including technology) that will ensure DPS meets its goal of having curriculum in teachers’ hands by mid-March. Other teachers who were not present will also participate in the unit writing process for the district. Teachers in other curricular areas will be trained and begin unit writing in Phase II of this process later this semester.
