DPS Recognizes School and District Administrative Assistants
It was low budget but high fun! Durham Public Schools honored school and district administrative assistants at a reception on April 21, Administrative Professionals Day in the U.S. Due to the budget situation, the event was low budget and primarily funded by contributions from DPS Leadership Team members and donations from Lowe’s Home Improvement Store in Northern Durham. Southern High School’s band, under the direction of Andrew George, entertained those attending. And there was a special vocal solo by Syboney Moore from DPS Human Resources. Interim Superintendent Hurd and Board Chair Minnie Forte-Brown thanked the administrative assistants for their service to the district.
