DPS Elementary and Middle School Students Preparing for the Regional Spelling Bee
Duke University’s Office of Durham and Regional Affairs is sponsoring the regional event to select the representative for the Scripps National Spelling Bee. This is the first time in many years that this area has participated and, from all accounts, the school-level spelling bees have been hard-fought competitions.
DPS holds a Spelling Bee Pep Rally on Monday, Feb. 22 to congratulate and encourage the students who will vie for regional honors on Saturday, March 6 at Page Auditorium on Duke’s campus. Students from Orange and Durham counties will take part in the bee.
