Superintendent Becoats to Begin Monthly Media Briefings
DURHAM—Superintendent Eric J. Becoats will meet monthly with the media to discuss district initiatives. The first of the monthly briefings will held Thursday, Oct. 28, 10 a.m. at Riverside High School located at 3218 Rose of Sharon Rd.
Dr. Becoats will update the media on next steps for developing the district’s strategic plan. He will also share trends and feedback from the Superintendent’s Listening and Learning Tour and provide information on the NEA Grant that supports closing the achievement gap between African-American males and their peers.
Following the presentations, Dr. Becoats will be available for a general question-and-answer session with reporters.
Going forward, the superintendent’s monthly media briefings will be held the third Wednesday at 10 a.m. If changes are made to the schedule, reporters and editors will receive notification in a timely manner.
