SmoothStart Website provides needed information for new school year
Durham, NC – In an effort to assist parents in tracking down important back-to-school information in one convenient location, Durham Public Schools is pleased to announce the 2011-2012 SmoothStart Website.
This one-stop shop has a link on the front page of the Durham Public Schools Website (www.dpsnc.net) and offers parents needed answers to questions about open houses, dress codes, before and after school care, transportation and registration. In response to parent requests, the DPS Website also includes school supply lists along with information about the North Carolina Sales Tax Free Weekend coming up in August.
Parents will find the SmoothStart checklists especially helpful. These documents contain information about homework, parent involvement, emergency contacts, medication and weather closings.
