What: Ribbon Cutting for Sandy Ridge Elementary School
When: Thursday, Sept. 29, 10-11 a.m.
Where: 1417 Old Oxford Road
Sandy Ridge Elementary School, the system’s newest elementary school, opened in August at 1417 Old Oxford Road. With a capacity of 640 students, it offers an arts program focusing on visual arts, dance, theater and choral music.
Driving Directions:
From I-40
Exit I-40 at the Durham Freeway (Hwy 147). Take Exit 11 on Alston Ave/55 and turn right. Turn left at Avondale Drive and continue onto N. Roxboro Street. Turn Right on Old Oxford Road. School will be on the left.
From I-85
Take Exit 176 and head North on Duke Street. Turn right at W. Carver Street. Turn right at the 1st cross street onto N. Roxboro Street. Turn Left at Old Oxford Road. The school will be on the left.
