Durham Public Schools Names Interim Principal of Southern School of Engineering
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Durham, NC – Darneise Massey will serve as interim principal for Southern School of Engineering for the 2011-12 school year. Ms. Massey has served as an assistant principal at Southern High since 2005. Prior to that, Massey served as a educational liaison at John Umstead Hospital and an exceptional children’s teacher at Jordan High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with a concentration in public administration from North Carolina Central University. She also received a Master of Education degree in school administration and special education from North Carolina Central University.
Ms. Massey began work in her new position July 13.
