DPS Names Executive Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment

Durham, NC – Durham Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Teresa Daye as Executive Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment.
Dr. Daye is currently Principal of Rogers-Herr Middle School. She has also served as a principal and assistant principal in Guilford County Schools. Daye’s vast experience includes time spent as an instructional resource teacher, literacy facilitator and classroom teacher with Durham Public Schools, an educational consultant with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, an adjunct instructor with North Carolina Central University, and an instructional facilitator with Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Daye earned her Bachelor’s degree from Winston-Salem State University, her Master’s degrees from North Carolina Central University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her Doctorate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
She will begin her new assignment on September 26, 2011.
