Ms. Rooney was nominated by the school’s PTA president and support staff.  She was noted for the countless hours she spends at the school assisting teachers and students with various projects.  Ms. Rooney has also been recognized for creating and implementing projects to spruce up the campus.

In addition, Ms. Rooney was instrumental in getting a 1000-gallon cistern installed to eliminate a drainage issue at the school.  She also worked to get the school’s track and field reseeded.  In addition, Ms. Rooney serves as chair of the grants committee at Creekside Elementary.
