Davis tapped to lead Glenn Elementary School

Davis, Associate Principal of Orange High School in Hillsborough, has been named Principal of Glenn Elementary School. He will replace Dr. Nicholas King, who has accepted a position as Principal of the Josephine D. Clement Early College High School, which will open in fall 2004. Davis has been Associate Principal of Orange High School since 1999. Prior to that he was Assistant Principal at Northern Granville Middle School for five years. He also served as a language arts and social studies teacher in Granville County Schools for six years. “I am very excited about the opportunity to come to Durham and work with the wonderful staff members and students at Glenn Elementary School,” said Davis. “Glenn is supported by an actively involved community of parents, and I look forward to meeting them and achieving great things together for our students.” Davis received a Master’s degree in School Administration and a BA in Middle Grades Education and Language Arts/Social Studies, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. “Reggie Davis brings a strong record of experience to his position as Principal of Glenn Elementary School,” said Superintendent Ann T. Denlinger. “His deep commitment to the success of young people, along with his genuine interest in working with families, serve to make him a wonderful match for the Glenn community.” ###
