Margratha Chambers on NBC-17
“Your Town” series features Riverside teacher
NBC-17 is running a special series called “Your Town.” Each day this week, the morning show is being televised live from a different community. On Tuesday, May 8, the show was held in CCB Plaza and featured the people and stories of Durham. Included on the show was Margratha Chambers. Ms. Chambers has been with Durham Public Schools for over 30 years. She currently serves as a Physical Education/Health teacher at Riverside High. She is also the school’s athletic director.
As a special surprise, Superintendent Eric Becoats showed up at the interview to thank Margratha for all of her years of service and to show his gratitude during this Teacher Appreciation Week. Dr. Becoats presented her with a bouquet of flowers.
