Fill the Bus!
Durham Regional Association of REALTORS® partners with Durham Public Schools to “Fill the Bus” with school supplies.
The brand new Lucas Middle School was the site of the Durham Regional Association of REALTORS® annual “Fill the Bus” luncheon held on Friday, August 17.
A school bus filled with school supplies was delivered to Crayons 2 Calculators in order to get into the hands of Durham Public Schools teachers. This marks the 11th year of the tradition in which real estate firms collect supplies and deliver them to the luncheon.
“We are very grateful for the kindness of our local real estate community,” said Superintendent Eric J. Becoats. “They are a tremendous partner to our school district and do a great job collecting much needed school supplies each year.”
Dr. Becoats and Area Superintendents Dr. Stacey Wilson-Norman, Dr. Julie Spencer and Jim Key presented the good news of the school system’s performance data and improved graduation rates.
