Dr. Becoats visits teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week

In Durham Public Schools we say that teachers are the heart of our success. We know that our parents and community feel the same way and that is why each year during teacher appreciation week Durham Public Schools recognizes teachers for the great work they do.

This year Teacher Appreciation week was May 7-11 and Superintendent Dr. Eric J. Becoats spent some time visiting teachers throughout the week. He went to several schools to recognize the great work that is going on day-to-day in their classrooms. He shared emails from parents, students & community members with teachers & their students that were sent in from the DPS website. A gallery of photos from this event is on our Facebook page
