DPS Students take the stage for “An Evening of Entertainment”

540 choral students performed at the Durham Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, February 15.

The Durham Performing Arts Center played host to “An Evening of Entertainment” once again this year. 540 students from all grade levels across Durham Public Schools performed show choir pieces to an excited crowd. The students all took part in a music workshop in which they had the opportunity to be trained by a professional choral clinician and choreographers.  They all worked together in a non-competitive manner to create a beautiful showcase of the talent housed right here in Durham Public Schools.

The proceeds from the tickets sales of the event go to benefit the Durham Public Schools Scholarship Foundation which has given over $300,000 in scholarships to DPS high school seniors.
