An All-Star ‘Team’ in DPS!

Durham Public Schools is proud of the “all-star service” our dedicated employees deliver. The district has focused on improving service to parents and community members over the last several years, with professional development devoted to ensuring that those who deal directly with the public are doing so professionally and promptly.
The payoff is readily apparent with the response to the All-Star Service recognition program. Parents and the public are encouraged to let us know when they have had an especially positive experience with a DPS professional by completing an All-Star Service card.
Those stellar customer-service professionals are then recognized at two events each year. The most recent was June 17 when Superintendent Carl Harris (pictured, with recipient Carol Abbruscato of Carrington Middle School ) hosted 17 employees for the great customer service for which they were noted this semester.
Additional recipients of the All-Star Service Award this semester were:
- Patti Crum , Watts Elementary
- Cole Hankins, Information Technology Services
