Partners celebrate five-year anniversary in Triangle by collecting school supplies and presenting check at Bulls game

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants recently celebrated the five-year anniversary of its move to the Triangle by joining the Durham Bulls for a baseball game to benefit the Durham Public Schools.

"Since relocating five years ago, the AICPA has invested significant dollars and resources in support of Durham Public Schools, our students, staff and principals," said Superintendent Eric J. Becoats.  "We appreciate their partnership and the opportunities to expand educational opportunities in our district."

The AICPA, in partnership with the Bulls, offered a free ticket to attendees who donated a new school notebook or binder.  All school supplies were accepted as part of the drive to benefit Durham Public Schools. Additionally, during the third inning, AICPA presented Dr. Becoats with a check for $15,000 which will assist in sponsoring the DPS Leadership Awards, promote the high school honor roll celebration and support the district’s strategic plan.
