Superintendent Search Update
The applications are in, and now the Board of Education members are considering which candidates to interview for the position of Superintendent of Durham Public Schools. February 5 was the deadline to submit an application. The Board met on February 22 to review the 24 applications and to determine which candidates to interview.
Interviews will take place in March and early April, and a new Superintendent is expected to be named in mid-April, according to the time line approved by the Board. The North Carolina School Boards Association is assisting the Board in the search. Plans are for the new Superintendent to start work by July 1.
