The New Teacher Center holds its national Symposium each February in San Jose, California. During Ellen Moir’s (Executive Director of the NTC) keynote address she highlighted the work of two beginning teachers in the country. One of these teachers, Andria Hall, is a third grade teacher at Oak Grove. In the video Ms. Hall shares her appreciation for mentoring. Also featured in the film are Andrea Carroll (principal of Oak Grove) and Tanner Gamble (Ms. Hall’s mentor). After the showing the “Two Portraits of New Teacher Induction,” Ellen Moir brought the two new teachers to the stage and provided each a two-three minute period to address the 800 conference participants.
