<p>Several students at Durham Public Schools’ Middle College High School at Durham Technical Community College decided they wanted to perform a community service project and they found a great one right across the street!</p>
<p>MCHS students are spending an hour a week – some more – as reading tutors for students at R.N. Harris Integrated Arts & Core Knowledge Elementary School. It’s a win-win for students at both ends of the spectrum.</p>
<p>Harris students get the chance to improve their reading skills while MCHS students get the reward of helping others and making new friends while boosting their college apps with community service hours. MCHS seniors tell you all about it in this latest edition of Student Snapshot.</p>
