Governor's School

This past summer, Durham Public Schools sent 17 students to the Governor’s School of North Carolina. Four of the students shared their thoughts and feelings about the program before and after attending the prestigious program.

Governor’s School is the oldest statewide summer residential program for academically or intellectually gifted high school students in the nation. To attend, students have to score within the 92nd percentile or higher in aptitude and achievement tests.
