You must have flash installed to see this video.

The ACT is a curriculum-based educational and career planning tool that assesses mastery of state and college readiness standards. It will be administered to all North Carolina juniors on March 6, 2012. This administration of the ACT is free and will be accepted by all four-year colleges and universities throughout the United States.

The ACT is designed to assess 11th and 12th graders’ general learning outcomes. It will assess students in the areas of English, reading, mathematics, science, and writing. Students may wish to review the above informational video to learn more about successfully preparing for the ACT.

Students may also visit www.actstudent.org and www.number2.com for access to free practice tests and other test-taking tips. Students and families can visit their school’s student services department to learn more about the ACT and what they can do to begin preparing now.

For more information, please contact Area Superintendent, Jim Key, at 919-560-2597.
