You must have flash installed to see this video.

Chelsea Townsend, a rising junior at Hillside High School, has taken first place in the senior level of Dance/Choreography from the National PTA Art Program, Reflections.

The Reflections program provides students from pre-school through senior high with an opportunity to express their creative talents in Choreography, Photography, Visual Arts, Film/Video Production, Literature and Musical Composition. They compete at the state level, then at the national level. In addition to Chelsea winning at the state and national levels in her category, two additional DPS students placed at the state level: Jillian Clark from Durham School of the Arts placed second in the senior level of Photography and Rachel Delauder from Hillside High School placed third in the senior level of Literature.

It is due to Chelsea and her fellow students, along with the many great arts teachers in DPS, that the district is known throughout the state and nation as one brimming with talented artists, musicians, dramatists and dancers.

Please take a moment to view the latest edition of DPS Points of Pride, featuring Chelsea.
