2011 Leadership Awards

You must have flash installed to see this video.

From time to time, we should pick our heads up from the paper and look around – to see what’s going on around us and to celebrate our victories. That’s what Dr. Becoats said at the recent School Leadership Awards ceremony held at Croasdaile Country Club.

This annual event was made possible by the Superintendent’s Business Advisory Council including the following sponsors: AICPA, Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club, BB&T, Cisco, GlaxoSmithKline, Duke Energy and PSNC.

The goal for the evening was to recognize exemplary school leadership in meeting annual school Scorecard goals. Principals and assistant principals were treated to a reception prior to the awards program. Susan Scott, of Frontier Communications, was the guest speaker. Kelly Leovic, of EPA and Co-Chair of the Superintendent’s Advisory Council, served as the master of ceremonies. Board member Heidi Carter and Superintendent Eric Becoats also shared words of congratulations.
