DPS School Scorecards

The Durham Public Schools Board of Education recognizes that assessment, academic and culture/climate indicators are interrelated and are essential measures of school functioning. The Superintendent and team developed Scorecards as a means of gathering and recording this data for each school.

Specific scorecard categories include attendance, suspensions, retentions, advanced academics participation, teacher statistics, state assessments, and data from the teacher working conditions survey. While these data points represent how our schools are performing on specific and important indicators, they only tell part of the story. It is important to note that there are many efforts underway in our schools that enhance our students' overall growth and development and allow our students to flourish in other non-tested areas.  Visit our district website, tune into Channel 4 and visit individual school websites to learn more about the exciting opportunities for students and families in DPS.
