5500 -CLASSIFIED PERSONNEL
The term "classified employee" applies to all employees who do not require licensure through the State Board of Education. The Durham Public Schools Board of Education is committed to employing and developing a classified staff possessing sufficient skills to contribute positively to the instructional program and system operations. The Board thereby authorizes the Superintendent to develop screening procedures to insure that all prospective classified employees possess skills and other qualities necessary to perform duties prescribed.
