5410 -LICENSURE
Professional employees must hold or be eligible to hold North Carolina licensure in the areas to which the employee is assigned.
5410.1 Establishing and maintaining licensure with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction is the responsibility of the individual employee.
5410.2 If a professional employee holds only provisional or validated licensure in the employee's assigned area, the employee must meet all requirements for certificate extension or renewal.
5410.3 Failure to establish or maintain current licensure is grounds for dismissal.
