4208 -DISPOSITION OF RECORDS
The Superintendent shall establish a system to maintain permanent official student records by microfilming or by use of other technologies as approved by the N.C. Division of Archives and History. Once recorded on microfilm or other approved technology, paper copies of official student records may be destroyed in compliance with state and federal law and regulation.
4208.1 Exceptional Children's Records: The records manager is authorized to destroy confidential Exceptional Children's Program files in compliance with federal law and regulation and as specified in the Records Disposition Schedule issued by the N.C. Division of Archives and History.
