1405 -POLICY DISSEMINATION
Policy statements of the Board shall be contained in the Board's policy manual.
All approved policy statements of the Board shall be maintained in the Board's policy manual.
- 1405.1 The Board’s policy manual will be maintained on the Durham Public School website at www.dpsnc.net and accessible for anyone to read. Parents will be notified of policy manual availability at the start of each school year through the student handbook or other means.
- 1405.2 Policies under consideration for adoption or revision shall be posted on the DPS website within 48 hours of the first reading for review and consideration by the public and a mechanism for comments and suggestions shall be developed by the Superintendent and tracked through the appropriate standing committee for Board consideration.
- 1405.3 Revisions to existing policies and new policies adopted by the Board shall be posted to the Board’s policy manual within five working days of adoption.
