1135 -NEW BOARD MEMBER ORIENTATION
The magnitude of Board membership calls for knowledge of and orientation to many areas of information and understanding. Under the guidance of experienced Board members and the Superintendent, orientation will be provided to new Board members through activities such as: 1135.1 Workshops for new Board members conducted by state and area school board associations;
1135.2 Discussions and visits with the Superintendent and other members of the school system staff;
1135.3 Provision of printed and audiovisual materials on school board and administrative policies and procedures;
1135.4 Attendance at school board and administrative conferences and conventions on a local, area, state, and national basis; and
1135.5 Other activities deemed beneficial.
