 Invest in computers for students-instead of notebooks and paper on supply list require thumb drives. Have assignments emailed and allow students to take quizzes on line to cut down on copiers and printer costs.  Consider using "blackboard". 2
Put workshop presentations on-line to eliminate costs of hand-outs 2
Have cafeterias switch to reusable trays and utensils to eliminate plastic waste.  Go green. 1
Reduce allocations to Central Office Administrative support systems to preserve educational structures at the school level.  Stay lean and man at management and staff level.  "no sacred cows". Freeze or cut pay levels and benefits. 3

Reduce AIG teachers by more effectively using Literacy coaches and allowing classroom teachers to level instruction for all students 1
