BIO:
Natalie Beyer has been a member of the Board of Education since 2010. She serves as the Board’s legislative liaison for federal education issues. Natalie grew up in Durham and attended Durham public schools before graduating from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. Natalie earned a bachelor's degree in English and Behavioral Science from Rice University in Houston, Texas and a Master's of Healthcare Administration with concentrations in Financial Management and International Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Public Health.
Natalie is a school and community volunteer and she works part-time for Smith and Associates in Durham. She is a founding member of Parents Across America, a grassroots organization that connects parents and activists from across the country to improve our public schools. Natalie and her husband, John, have three children and all attend Durham Public Schools.
