BIO:
Leigh Bordley was sworn in as the Board’s at-large member on July 7, 2008. She has been Executive Director of Partners for Youth since 1998. Partners for Youth is a teen mentoring program that provides a team of four mentors to each of 25 teens. In the early 1990s, she was a consultant for Literacy South and director of development for NC Equity. Leigh holds a master's of social work degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and a bachelor of arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She and her husband, Clay Bordley, a pediatric hospitalist at Duke, have three children, one of whom is a graduate of Durham School of the Arts, one who currently attends DSA, and one who attends Brogden Middle School.
